Your Holiday
  • What does the holiday price include?
  • When we quote for a holiday we include the following:
    • Return flights (If required).
    • Accommodation. (If required).
    • Return transfers. (If required).
    • Car Hire (If required).
    • The services of our representatives.
    • Maid service 3 times per week,excluding public holidays.
    • All linen except beach towels.
    • Once per week linen change.
    • Twice per week towel change.
    • A cot and high chair if required.
    • A holiday guide book and map.
    • VAT and all Local taxes.
  • Can I book accommodation only and make my own travel arrangements?
  • The Travel Corner can book your accommodation and transfers only but we ask you to advise us of your flight details or other travel arrangements in order for us to arrange your transfer to the resort.  In the event you have hired a car with us to be picked up at the airport or port we will need your travel details so as to make the necessary arrangements. 
  • How can I make a booking with The Travel Corner?
  • Simple, you can either use our easy to use online system or send us an email detailing exactly what you would like or just telephone us.
  • Why book with The Travel Corner?
  • At The Travel Corner we appreciate that your holiday is one of the most important times of the year, therefore we set very high standards to meet your expectations, as your wellbeing and satisfaction are our priority.  We check all our properties to make sure they are well-maintained and meet health and safety requirements and we are committed to ensure you have a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. 
  • What happens if I need to cancel my holiday?
  • When you make a booking with us we recommend that you read our 'Booking Conditions' as set out on our website.  This will explain to you what happens in the event of a cancellation.
  • Are the transfers to and from the airport included in the price?
  • No, but when you make your booking with us you can request transfers and we will charge you accordingly.
  • Are there any reductions for children?
  • Children reductions are calculated in the total holiday cost where they apply.
  • When will I receive my tickets and documents?
  • When you confirm your holiday you will automatically receive a confirmation invoice by email or by post. 

    Airline tickets:  For scheduled airlines and airlines using electonic tickets, these will be sent to you by email promptly after full payment has been recieved by the airline.

    Charter tickets:  At the moment not all charter airlines use electronic ticketing in which case tickets are despatched approximately 2 weeks prior to departure and sent to you by post.

    Ferry Boat tickets:  As soon as payment is received the tickets will be sent to you by post.

    Please note:  If airline or ferry tickets are booked within 2 weeks of departure we will make arrangements for you to collect your tickets at the port or airport.

  • Will my children be amused?
  • There are plenty of things in Corfu to keep children of all ages amused.  Apart from swimming at the beach or pools, there are waterparks to go to and many excursions.
  • Can I hire cots and highchairs?
  • When you make your reservation you will need to advise us if you need cots and highchairs and these will be provided at no extra cost. 
  • Are there any Banks, ATM machines or Post Offices?
  • In Corfu Town there are many banks, lots of cash machines and a main Post Office.  Most of the villages around the island have a Post Office, often located inside one of the supermarkets.  However, not many have banks.  In the north of the island there is an Alpha Bank in Acharavi, 15 minutes from Kassiopi.  You will find at least one ATM machine in most places.  In Kassiopi there is an Alpha Bank cash machine conveniently situated outside our office and in case of any problems arising from using this machine you can contact the bank on 0030 26630 63300.
  • Where can I change cash and traveller's cheques?
  • If you are in the town there are numerous banks where you can exchange money and traveller's cheques.  In Kassiopi  we have the facility to do this for you in our office at current bank rates.
  • What facilities are there in Corfu for the disabled?
  • Unfortuately, Corfu is not yet very geared up for the disabled.  In the town there are no facilities, such as ramps into shops or on kerbs, there are also no disabled toilets.  However,  many people with disablities do visit Corfu with no problems.  If a member of your party does require help in any way please advise us when you make your booking and we will happily give you advice about what may or may not be suitable.  We will be able to offer help with accommodation for example, if there are lots of steps or a steep slope etc.
  • Are there public toilets?
  • In Corfu Town there are public toilets to be found in San Rocco square and in the gardens at the Liston.  However, there are many cafes and coffee shops scattered throughout the town and you can use the toilets in these, if you feel awkward about this you can always stop for refreshments too.  In the villages and resorts you will not find public toilets but again, you should feel free to go into the bars and cafes, the proprietors do not usually mind.    
  • What if I arrive at the airport and I have forgotten my passport?
  • Travel documents such as passports are the responsibility of the client.
  • What if I forget to take my tickets?
  • If you have booked your flight with The Travel Corner you should contact us immediately by telephone.   If you have booked direct with the airline then you should contact them immediately.
  • Does the holiday price include insurance?
  • Your holiday does not include travel insurance.
  • If we arrive in the middle of the night will there be a supermarket open?
  • None of the supermarkets open 24 hours, they usually stay open till around 9pm, slightly later in high season. 
  • If I book a transfer to and from the port or airport will it be private?
  • Yes, unless otherwise agreed your transfer will be for you and your party only.  Taxis can take up to four people and if your party is larger than this number we will arrange additional taxis or a private minibus for the whole group.
