The green bus service operates from the main bus station in Corfu Town and is an excellent way to see the island. There are regular buses to all the village and resorts around the island and it is a cheap and reliable way to get about. In the resorts you will find a timetable at the main bus stop but be sure to get there in plenty of time, at least 10 minutes early. If the bus arrives early it will not wait.

This service operates from the centre of town at San Rocco square. The blue buses serve the area of Corfu Town and the near vicinity. If you arrive in town on the green bus and need to go somewhere else on the blue bus, you can take a taxi to the blue bus stop or go on foot, which will take approximately 10 minutes. Many local people speak English in Corfu and you will never have a problem asking for directions.

This is a slighly more expensive option and most visitors generally use taxis just for getting to and from the airport. However, if you choose to use a taxi you will find most resorts have a local taxi who will be happy to take you about, especially on short trips in the near vicinity. Agree a price before starting out as it could work out expensive if you are going far. In the town there are two taxi ranks, one in San Rocco Square and one at the Liston. Taxis can also be found easily at the bus station and down at the port.
